Default Trebuchet should be allowed to kill.

The Trebuchet should be able to kill human beings. If it's able to knock down major walls then shouldn't it be able to flatten a puny human if it happens to hit them?

Its description says it can so does the mongral. Anything attacking the wall should kill anything standing on the wall using it for cover.

Trebs also had the ability to use a range of projectiles including shaped stone balls, fire (clay pots filled with burning tar that would ignite any wooden or thatch, surface it fell on and burn flesh), early bio and terror weapons (disease ridden cows, human corpses, and the like used to lower moral and spread disease within a city under seige these cut the range and accuracy as they were not the size and shape of other specific shaped ammo used), and in a pinch normal rocks. These factors when added to their range and accuracy made enemies fear them on a battlefield before they fired a shot and work hard to bring them down. They really should do more than simply knock down walls.

In game terms it could be factored in based on what units would be on the wall.
IE a city has 100 longbows logicly all are on the wall during the attack but they would move out of the way but a fair number would still get hit as they are still trying to repel other attackers and are going to get hit particularly with the accuracy a treb brings to the battle.

so say 10% of archers get killed in a mongral attack, they are not very accurate,
where 40-50% get killed by trebs
additionally trebs should reduce the morale of the city to factor in the other ammo that they used

A revision to my last post as it would result in armies of trebs and templars

mongrals take out 2-3% of units on the wall
trebs 10% plus each treb has a small chance .5-1% to do a small amount of damage (1 unit) to each unit stationed in the city under attack
Each treb reduces the moral of defending city by 1 max 2/3 Im not familiar enough with the game to know where this can be put with out effecting important game features.

Another thing that could be added to trebs that would be nice is allow them to have a target other than the walls. IE at the time of attack if a person is sending multiple trebs let the attacker choose to use some of them to attack buildings.

IE attacking with 4 trebs 2 used to hit a wall, one is told to hit a farm one is told hit a keep.

The army sent is destroyed at the wall the defender lives to fight another day, but a keep becomes a garrison and a lvl 3 Large Granary becomes a lvl 1 or a lvl 3 Granary or something similar slowing production. This creates the option for a new kind of war that was also practiced in the dark ages. The war of attrition.

I have been recruiting a lot of Trebuchets lately and I am wondering if they have potential to help wipeout the enemy as an add on to my already large knight army...
